Crankshaft for a 2001 Toyota Tacoma

Sep 27, 2007 2 Replies

Does anyone know a merchant on the web that sales cranks for Toyota Pickups. I have a 2001 Toyota Tacoma, 3.4L.

For two rods and the crank the local dealer is asking $1400. I'm hoping to find something less expensive.

I've searched the web but the only thing I'm coming across is crank seals and crank sensors.

Might be cheaper to buy a complete used engine, or for that matter a ragged out truck instead of shopping at the dealer......

Try:

RPM - RON'S PRECISION MACHINE, INC.

They claim a cranshaft for your engine with bearing is only $389.21 (new, their P/N CSTO35).

Welcome to the real world of Toyota parts pricing. That is one reason one does not see old Toyota still on the roads or old car shows. LOL
