headlights on 2006 corolla

Daytime lights on 2006 corolla turn on just fine when the engine is turnedon. At night when the headlight switch is turned on the headlights aresupposed to brighten and dim when the switch is turned to off. Lights onthis car stay at the same intensity whether the switch is on or off.Sounds like a switch problem. Any other ideas out there?--Message posted using information at

I tried that on my 05 corolla and it worked.. Didn't know about that. Comes in handy. But.. The engine has to be off first. Didn't seem to kill the lights if they were already on, and you put the parking brake on. MK

Interesting! I will try this and report later on my 06 Corolla. I wonder if the auto-on still works?
