{OT} We got the hostage - now lets complette the job

There are a lot more hostages being held in Somalia. However, I'd think that the time to make the pirates understand their mistakes is now while public opinion is with us. There might be collateral and hostage casualties but I'd bet there is relatively good intelligence available to extract vengance and let the chips fall.

Do you want to bet that this suggestion is derided as barbaric and lacking in the "process of law" & fails to let negotiations solve the problem? Some of the ships and hostages have been "detained" for some years.

Ron, I am one Canadian who agrees with you. Why the FUCK isn't the United Nations involved in this, considering all the different countries whose shipping is affected?

The job consists of bringing peace to Somalia. Not only will this end the system where pirates are given safe harbor, but it will give peace to an area that has not had it for quite some time.

I agree Jeff! I am 70 and as far back as I can remember my dad told me to remember that anything you do has consequences. The pirates have not had any consequences except ransom money. Our (the US) history is filled with our both good and bad acts. But we've always gotten some consequence, maybe it was just feeling good about earthquake or tsunami help. Quite often it was a slap in the face when we've asked for help.

I think its time the pirates realize some consequences. The people of Somalia now probably emulate the pirates. Its time to show them that piracy does have very severe conseuences.
