Buy a horse and buggy! No gas except FROM the horse on occasion and also free fertilizer. LOL



I'm also beginning to see more and more people in my area riding around town on motor scooters. Maybe Toyota should also consider making these. Honda sells lots of motor scooters and cycles :)

Not work too good in snow country. However, a cheap no frills all electric car that gets say 50 to 100 miles on a charge and has a top speed of perhaps 45 Mph, which is good enough for town travel on streets. Price $6000, I'd buy one.

In the '70s in my neck of the woods mopeds and scooters were starting to become a big hit in urban areas. The gas crises saw to that.

Then the government mandated driver's licenses, helmets and insurance. All of a sudden the mopeds were too much trouble. People stopped buying them and the market went to pot, which is where it is today.
