You can, if you resist your gay urges. OTOH you shouldn't have to, as long as you do nothing immoral.

Why does Al Gore refuse to débâte the many scientist the say he is full of crap? The average earth temperature has been going DOWN not up, for the past seven years, according to NASA.
Well, let's see... we can plan ahead/get a head-start or... we can wait until the 11th hour when the situation is a whole lot more urgent, & then frantically try to find ways to fix all of the mess which got ignored for years.

I like trying to quit wrecking our environment at such an alarming rate - whether it be via greenhouse gases, or other pollutants which have other detrimental effects, whether it involves slowing the deforestation of tropical rainforests & the resultant loss of habitat for so many plants & animals, etc., etc. and working on solving the ptroblem of our finite natural resources. Not just global warming/climate change is on the table - but a host of problems. And unlike global warming which may be only being
*accelerated* (vs. solely caused) by people's actions, the others are completely down to human activities. If we ("we" incl. future generations) wreck & deplete this planet, then -everything- else becomes a moot point.Cathy
Well then, you better plug up all the bovine's butts to stop the tons of methane gas escaping into the atmosphere. That would be a very cheap and effective solution.
say he is full of
Probably because he's a lawyer, not a scientist, and it would be better for scientists on his side (i.e., the vast majority) to debate that minority of scientists who disagree with him.
Are you one of those global cooling believers? If so, you're wrong, according to RealClimate.com, a website that presents mainstream climatology science.
If they keep putting it off, & keep putting it off, it *will* be an emergency - as I mentioned - the 11th hour sort of scenario. Then all of a sudden - scrambling galore.
Part of the reason to get moving - to begin to figure out the sticking points. If we wait until it is an emergency, you know what happens the first try or two or three with newly instituted practices - they usually fail or partially fail, for various reasons - & need fine-tuning.

Okay, I've picked myself up off the floor from that faint, have shaken my head clear, & it still says what I read the first time... ;-)
I think it's because he's so into the whole thing - environmental issues - & has been for a long time; his enthusiasm becomes contagious.
Cathy
That is completely false. He is into a legacy and creating a new industry based on carbon credits to line his pocket.
Al Gore has been interested in the environment for umpteen years - since college days, IIRC - a passionate issue in his case.
