As a Canadian, I would expect no less. It stands to reason, after all Canada is one of the main sources of U.S. energy. Only DEMONrat LIEbrawl idiots would refuse to get involved in a country when so much of their energy supply is involved. Again, I am a Canadian and, regardless of the issues, would expect the U.S. to protect its vital interests.
I'm fully aware of Iran's interest in Iraq. However, you will learn in the coming years that Iran's activities in Iraq have absolutely nothing to do with our government's desire to attack Iran. Neither do Iran's nuclear development activities, which we allowed and funded.
None of this changes the fact that all politicians who want war in the region should be the first to send their family members.

John Bolton is considered a complete incompetent, even by neocon standards, and he had a lot to do with causing the nuclear negotiations with North Korea to break down and delay the final agreement by several years.
And John McCain confused Sunnis & Shiites. Let's say Bolton made a mistake, and that's being charitable about it. LMC's explanation is probably closer to the truth. You can try and debate that with him.
If you actually read a few books about what's going on in the Middle East, you could be better informed than some of the twits our government sends over there as diplomats.
