I'd be more than willing to bet that 90% of the shootings you mentioned involved assailants brought up in good Christian households. Why didn't their religious training prevent this?
Perhaps it's not religion or the lack of it but your easy situational ethics and the easy situatonal ethics of Rightards, generally, where killing is OK ("bomb bomb bomb bomb") if it's works for your immediate needs and not so good when it works against your immediate needs. Where deceit is OK (as in this example of plagiarism) when it works for you but evil when someone you don't like lies?
