Re: {OT} stevens out

I doubt Nobama WANTS the Dims to get control of the Senate? Who will he and the Dims blame in four years? Does any body remember the last time the Dims controlled both houses of the Congress and the Presidency?

That would be when we had the worse president in my over eighty years, Jimmy Carter. Regulation that brought us gas shortages, unemployment at 12%, inflation at 18% and interest rates at 23% and Carter said we were in a malaise that Americana should put on a sweater and get accustomed to it, because our best days have passed. When Reagan came along the Dims had nobody to blame so they had to go way back to point how bad it was under Hoover.

Reagan trounced Carter and put into motion the real "CHANGE" we needed that led to the tremendous continuous growth all the way up through the nineties that people erroronously credited to Clinton. In reality Reagan said it will take ten to twenty years to reverse what the Dims did in four years and to realize the benefit of freeing up the market place once again as President Kennedy did twenty years sooner, with tax RATE cuts for all Americans and the capital gains tax cuts. It was the people spending more if their own money and the new capital investment available that enabled industry and commerce to take advantage of the growing computer age, robotics and technology

Now we have a President elect who wants to undo all of that progress by mov>
