Re: Sludge Report...

My 72 Olds 98 went 35,000 no oil change, no problems. Except the oil was pretty dirty when it got changed.

My local Toyota Service Writer told me he had a gal in a Sienna come > in with the check engine light lit. > > He went to the computer and found no oil changes. > > He asked her if she had her oil changed elsewhere. > > She replied....'No'. > > The Sienna has 30,000 miles on it...with no oil changes. > > Terrible Toyota quality. Damn the things won't run 30,000 miles > without an oil change. > > Where is Charlene????? >

Some women (Wickeddoll excepted of course) think that automobile maintenance begins and ends with putting gas in the tank. Water ? That's for showering in. Oil, that's for cooking in a wok. Air? duh, for breathing. I don't need transmission fluid, because I don't have "fluid drive" in my car. The spare tire? You mean the one around my husband's middle? Filters? Heck, I don't even smoke! Reminds me of Phyllis Diller's line about the cop pulling her over. "You're going down a one-way street!" "Well, officer, I was only going one way!"
