I live in Pennslyvania and the minimum to pass state inspection for any vehicle is 2/32. are you sure you dont want the specs for the Brake Rotor?
For 1980s Toyotas it was 1.0 mm. At what thickness to the squealers start to scrape the rotors?
The general rule of thumb for minimum brake lining thickness is 2/32" or 2 mm. If either the inner or outer pad is below the minimum, then they should be replaced.
