I have a 2003 Camry with 4 cyl. automatic. I now have 9500 miles on the car and as yet, my best mileage has been 23.5 with normal mileage of 21 to

  1. Is this normal for mixed driving ,city highway? I was expecting better as car got older but nothing yet. Even when adding 50 to 60 miles of freeway driving it doesn't increase much.

That does sound very low. That's the kind of fuel consumption the V6 should have.

Stop drag racing and dragging trees behind you to get better mileage (just kidding).

Haven't had my 2002 4cly Camry that long. Put only 3.5k on it.. It seems to average 30-32 mpg on the highway. Car has 32.5 k miles on it.

My 02 Camry 4 cyl averages 32mpg. It currently has 67K miles on it. You definitely have a problem.

Mine has other problems. But that's in another thread in this newsgroup.

US gallons or Imperial gallons?

Until the MIL light goes ON, there is likely nothing haywire with this Camry.
