91 camry with seatbelt malfunction

Oct 31, 2006 1 Replies

Ok, my driver's side electric seatbelt (shoulder/chest strap) has been acting funky for the last month or so. Sometimes it open only a tad, sometimes halfway, sometimes all the way, and at other times it doesn't budge at all. It's irritating to say the least.

I haven't been able to find anything in the track that would cause it to stick, and even lubricated the track, but to no avail. I would say it's the motor if it weren't for the fact that it works sometimes. So....maybe a bad ground wire? Other? Suggestions?...

Thanks, Mark

=================== Check the wiring bundle at the door hinge - repeated flexing can create intermittent contact when wire strands break.
