Air conditioning puzzle on 2002 Camry

Last weekend my AC quit and the light in the button flashed. The weather was hot! Yesterday I tried it and it is working again. The weather is now cool (45-55). I don't know why it would start working again. Any thoughts? Thanks Greg

I have exactly the same problem with the AC and the blinking control light..Did you find the cause??
