OK, some sources say 90k miles, others say 60k miles. My '97 Taco 3.4 had it's first belt at 70k, and is now at 120k. Should I wait till 160k before replacing or do it at 130k?. Cast your vote now.

my 96 4runner had 140 before I took it in and swapped it, and I only ended up doing that cause I got a good deal on labour, and it was in the shop for a starter anyways.
It would be a good idea to replace the water pump along with the timing belt. Much of the same labor is involved since the water pump is driven by the timing belt and buried under the timing belt cover. Should save on labor in the long run.
I wouldn't bother to replace it until it breaks. I replaced mine @
128K and now am at 230k w/o a problem. BTW the >It would be a good idea to replace the water pump along with the timing
This will be news to quite a few people.
