Got a reg cab Tundra with a shell with the above engine. My first mileage check gave me 20 mpg. Lifted the hood and was surprised to have the Denso made in Japan oil filter staring at me right next to the oil filler. Does anybody have any tech info on this engine other than what Toyota has on their site? Is this engine made in the US or piece parted from Japan? It looks nicer than the old 22RE in my 89 pickup. Would appreciate any info. Thanks
