4 runner with poor gas mileage

my wife's 4runner seems to be getting poor mileage 99 sr5 is getting about



15 mpg. i seem to recall it getting about 18mpg, but not sure. is 15 mpg too low? i changes the air filter which was fairly dirty, butt still poor mileage. any suggesitons?

Next logical step would be to change the fuel filter, and look at the last time you changed plugs, etc.

That will do it -- avoid temptation to go with non-OEM plugs (stick with NGK or Nippondenso).

Go to NGK.com and checked out their Iridium spark plugs.
