5-speed xmsn problem RESOLVED...THANKS

As an Army Officer-a Combat Engineer-I recall the training I received long ago in reference to calling for and adjusting artillery fire. This training came from a seasoned Artilleryman and his closing comment went something like this:

'We (the Artillery) are several kilometers behind the front line. We receive a harried call for fire. We dial in the coordinates, load the tubes, and pull the lanyards. But being so far from the impact of our profession, we seldom see the result of our labor. So, when you call for fire, upon completion of the mission, give us a call back with the results of our work."

I wanted to relate this story in reference to some recent help I received from the newsgroup.

I was experiencing a horrible shifting problem with my 5-speed in my 99 Tacoma. I posted the problem and symptoms. Within 30 minutes, I had e-mails with a diagnosis and diagrams for repair.

To make a long story short, $17.08, a little elbow grease, and some expert advice later, my baby shifts like she did when she was brand new. I'm so damn happy I've been making up places to drive just to shift her.
