94 4runner Hot/Cold issue

I'm living in Tucson, AZ and own a 94 4runner (V6 3.0 3vze). It has 130k miles on it, and I'll be taking it with me to school in Idaho. I need to keep this vehicle around for awhile, and obviously I'm concerned about taking it back and forth between Arizona heat and Idaho cold. Ill be in Idaho for 5 months this first time around.

I want to replace the battery, can anyone give me suggestions as far as cold cranking amps I should look for? I'm also concerned about the spark plugs, but mainly the wires. They are very thin gauge wires. Would thicker gauge wires help at all under these circumstances? Also looking for suggestions on radiator fluids. Here in Arizona I do a 50/50 mixture of water and anti-freeze. Any suggestions would be helpful, considering I've never lived in a cold area like Idaho before. I don't know what to expect!
