A little advice.

My wife was driving my 90 Toyota xcab 4x4 last winter, came in and said "Your truck is making some weird noises" I went out to investigate and first off found 3 holes in the hood, opened the hood and found that the fan had literally exploded causing the holes in the hood, destroying the radiator, resonator the alternator and belt, K@N filter, 2-3 holes in the battery which was leaking, the fan shroud and the lining covering the inside of the hood. Just a little advice to Toyota drivers, get a new fan or change over to a electric fan when the miles get high on these vehicles, it will save you about $1500.00. I got a new Flex-lite electric fan which is inexpensive and very quiet as well as easy to install. The hood I bent the holes back in and filled and then had Line x spray a permanent bra on the hood. The rest was easily repaired at home except for the radiator.

See ya.

"Your truck is making some weird noises". Not 'And there's some holes in the hood."??? :>))

Maybe you can help her learn to be more observant... :>))

How many more on the list have had this happen???

There are probably other brands on the market that work as well and are equally "inexpensive." Best advice? Keep in mind that many endorsements you find in newsgroups are thinly veiled advertisements. Shop around before you buy...
