FJ Cruiser Frame Problems?

A local body shop has a fairly new FJ Cruiser with a bent frame. The owner of the shop said the fellow was off-roading and the frame buckled (that's all he said about it). I didn't get a close look at it, but it looked like the rear fenders were bowed out. The guy at the shop said he knows of two or three others with the same problem. According to him, Toyota isn't going to do anything about it, probably claiming it's the owner's fault.

I have no other details at this time. Has anyone here heard about this?

Sorry, I meant to say front fenders...

No, but I'll bet I can break anything stock off-road, including an FJ.

FWIW, I've broken my Wrangler's stock front sway bar while off-roading, and it wasn't warrantied. In fact, I don't know of any manufacturer that will cover off-road inflicted damage. This goes for trucks in the dirt or sports cars on the track.

I've wheeled mine pretty hard at Paragon and Rausch Creek here in PA. Mainly on Blue and Black trails. All rock. I have a 3" lift and 33" tires on the stock 17" alloy wheels. Still have stock front and rear bumpers but I do have full BudBuilt skids and Trail-Gear sliders. Frame is as straight as the day I bought it and I've been rough with it quite a few times. I can't imagine bending a frame unless he was overloaded and flying over the dunes baja style. Even then, I would think other things would be breaking before the frame had issues. I hang out on the FJCruiserForums and IH8Mud and this is the first I heard of a bent frame from wheeling.
