I work for a towing company and i have a problem. One of my employees towed a 2000 toyota 4-runner from the rear with the transmission in neutral and the transfer case in 2hi, the key on ACC. My problem is that he traveled around 150 miles and when he got back to the shop, the transmission was totally fried. The owner is trying to tell me that he is responsable for the damaged transmission. I tried to explain to him that it is nearly impossible for you to fry the transmission in this manner. The driver said he read the owners manual and it told him to haul it just like he did. Any help from the toyota camp would help me save the driver the cost of a new transmission.
Thank you all
