jprerunner TRD just how bad is the ride?

Car is in the shop for a while as they look for a part. Have read the TRD ride is very rough. Is is worse than a Jeep Wrangler or Cherokee? Just how bad is it? Does the more stout suspension make the truck more durable onver the long haul?

Ya got the bad ride info from Consumers Reports? They forget that it is a truck not a Buick. Don't know of many trucks that you can haul a 1/2 ton in that ride like a car when empty.

truck shocks are built STIFF to give a controllable ride when the truck is almost fully loaded, and are often harsh when not under load.

buy the prerunner and then install a set of Rancho adjustable shocks on it. Dial them to 3 for a great ride when the truck isn't hauling a big payload. The difference these adjustable shocks makes is astounding. You can set them so soft that you can feel the 31.5's bouncing on the pavement, or so stiff you are riding on a washboard.

opinions will vary, jk
