I have a 1995 4 runner with a supercharger.
I replaced the timing belt on my 4 Runner, and it won't start.
I aligned the crank to TDC, and the cam timing to the TDC marks, and my vehicle didn't start.
I checked the spark plug and it was firing. I smell fuel so I don't think that's a problem. I didn't touch the fuel/electrical side of the vehicle and it was running good before.
Before I set everything to the factory timing marks, I noticed that there were yellow mark slightly off of TDC for the cams.
I took everything off and re-aligned it to the yellow marks and the vehicle still doesn't start.
Neither the new settings, nor the factory settings worked.
I was thinking even if the timing was slightly off the engine should have started even if it ran rough.
I don't have any info on the supercharger, so I don't know if there something I missed. I replaced the timing belt on my stock 1995 Tacoma, and I didn't have any problems with it.
Now. I don't know what to try since I can smell gas and see the spark arcing from the plug.
Help please.
Thank you in advance.
