34pict3 initial setup?

Nov 18, 2003 3 Replies

I have stripped my 34pict3 down for cleaning and have the air volume control and bypass screws out on the bench. How do I get them both "in the neighborhood" so the engine will run well enough to warm up and fine-tune it?

I've done some searching and explanations all assume the engine can already be warmed up.

Max,...........This is not my area of expertise at all,................Hell, I'm not even sure I have an area of such................But I usually start by turning the screws all the way in, and then backing both out 1.5 turns................That usually will get a run for the first round, then I do the sam eand fine tune once warm.

Artificial Intelligence is no match for natural stupidity.

back out the mixture screw about three turns from the bottomed out position....back out the bypass screw 1/2 to one turn...should get you running...
