I acquired a used set of these with Berg linkage a few years ago for a future project...a project that still is in the future, unfortunately. But, here is the situation.
I bought rebuild kits and a few other things for these..............got busy with work, so i decided to send them off to Gene Berg to be rebuilt, although pricey. Now one, i had broken down and cleaned already, but not reassembled, and the other was still together. When Berg got them they called me, and told me that they are 42 DCNF's, but a different series than they work on, and they sent them back without doing anything. Oddly, when i disassembled the one, i had a parts blow up of a 42 dcnf, and it was identical.
Is there anyone else out there that rebuilds these things? I know Berg can be somewhat picky on what they want to fiddle with..................
I have my AJ Sims heads, and a bunch of other parts to build a 2007 cc motor, but I would like to get these carbs gone thru by an expert that could set them up in the ballpark for what i am building......................
