Airintake with 4 heater ports - Is this a 1300 or 1500 or 1600 ccm?

I'm still trying to figure out my Super Beetle 74 engine size. The engine has dual ports. The number on the block has a VW replacement part sign, than an "A" and than nothing else. The real engine number is never been "stamped" in the block after the replacent engine is installed some years ago.

I noticed that the air intake manifold heatersystem has 2 heater ports on the left side and 2 heater ports on the right side. Supposed to connect to the exhaust. Can i conclude anything about the engine size out of this? The engine has dual ports cyl. heads. Greeting from Denmark Michael

I have had two such engines, with this intake manifold. Both had the carburator bolt spacing of the 30/31 carb. Meaning, they were a 1300cc engine.

I have never seen a 1600 engine with this twin heater pipe intake manifold. Maybe they exist though.

Look at the carb, what number is it? 34 implies 1600 engine and 1600 intake manifold, unless you have a spacer adapter between the carb and the intake manifold.

Thanks for your answer. I'm now almost convinced my engine is a 1300. I will check for 31 or 34 mm caburettor. Thanks... MIC
