Barney's Import Parts heaters

anyone ever used either the regular type I kit or the auxiliary models? How and where do they install and how well do they work? I am in western Michigan, average around 20 degree days most of the winter months, and I need to heat a 73 Super with no heat exchangers (just J-pipes) with a singleport 1600cc motor out of a '70 regular.....

...thanks for any input...

Is that the heater that is really just a small oil cooler that's put inside the cabin? Seems too to be true that it would work, and it probably doesn't tie into the defroster channel. How about using a Mister Heater instead? Just set on the passenger side floor. Keep a window open a crack.

300 watts isnt going to go very far

That's right. 300 watts is only 1,020 BTUs, or approximately the same as one can of sterno.

Yeah. Don't they make that stuff anymore? So substitute a mountain climber's alcohol stove.
