Anyone know what the is the battery number and make for a 1973 auto stick type one for the bottom of the rear seat wont hit ?

..wont fit? I thought they were all Group 42 for a 1973 standard tranny.
any battery that you can get to fit in that space will work.
Cover the top of it with a rubber floor mat and also maybe a rubber cover for the positive terminal clamp, sold at Sears, to keep the seat springs from becoming a conductor and causing a short.
