better handling for vw bug?

Another conclusions reached was.

Front shocks - should be soft. Just use normal stocks.

And weld 40kg of steel to your front end.

BOLT on the extra weight, so you can remove it when needed.

But acceleration will suffer. If you want to put extra weight you can try pinup girl :-) and if the extra weight doesn't produce any benefits on the handling at least you won't care with that.

Here's an idea.

Remove the back seats of the Beetle - that must weigh about 20 kg at least. Then bolt on a 20kg iron plate or bar in the petrol tank section. Compensates, no?

I was thinking on seating her on the passenger seat. :-)

Any way if it doesn't help you can do what I did. I replaced as the bushings on the front and on the rear. I put a set of Koni shocks on the rear and 185/65 tires on 5.5" rims. It handles great under 120km/h that's enough for me.
