Are there any thread sealers impervious to brake fluid. I replaced the brake lite switches in my 70 Beetle, careful not to over-tighten, but they leaked. I have gradually tightened them and watched for leaks, but they keep seeping. If I tighten any more I'll strip them. Any other suggestions? Thanks.... Jeff

Normally, no sealant of any kind is needed on those switches. Make sure the leakage is from the threads and not from the switch part itself. Many of the replacement switches are junque and fall apart.
If it IS the threads, use LOCTITE (there is one for Hyd fluids, but any thread sealant will work.) Don't use Teflon tape as it will extrude into the M/C.
