After all those chicken feet are you sure you don't need a larger one for the rear?

Where did you find 2,000 lb. winches for $50? I paid I think $70 for my

1,500 lb. trailer winch. Where are they made (hope not china...)? ~ Paul aka "Tha Driver"

Good luck. Most American companies are outsorcing everything &/or opening factories in other countries. They don't have to pay US taxes that way. (Hell they even open fake corporate offices in other countries to avoid the US taxes!) Most often when they do it's china, & the products suck. I've *never* bought *anything* from china that was worth a shit. I have a bench drill press that I bought on ebay made in china, used twice & the chuck locked up & I can't find another to fit it. I never buy anything from china unless there is no other choice. I look for "Made in USA", & if not possible "Made in Japan" for electronics & accept a few other countries (such as Germany, the UK, etc.) for other items. Of course, I've gotten

*crap* made here (USA) too. Perhaps your luck will be different & you'll get a quality product. Please let us know if you do, as that's something everyone can use. ~ Paul aka "Tha Driver"

Easy on the Giggle Cream!

's also a Chicago Electric winch and it worked fine pulling my bajaout of the mud. It eventually did fail. It was too much trouble tokeep hooking up the electrical connections to use it so I just usedthe hand-crank most of the time and the last time I used it I wasbogged down in mud BADLY and probably working the winch by hand harderthan I should have when I stripped the splines off where the handcrank attached. Probably would have been ok if I hadn't enlisted thelegendary Strength Of Kong (tm) while using it. :-) I've boughtseveral tools from Harbor Freight including a bench drill press andhaven't really had any trouble with them during normal use. YMMV.

While goods made in America and sold overseas are BOOMING! The down-dollar overseas is the best thing that ever happened for us and them.
