I've never understood it -- I like it but never understood -- why kids go ga-ga over bugs. Is it the shape? The sound? I once had a 2-year- old (maybe a little younger as he could barely walk) fix his eyes on my bug as I pulled into a supermarket parking lot, and would not take them off it...even as his mother continued to drag him forward into the store. What struck me is his fasination had to be primal -- he was just beyond the stage of telling the difference between people and funiture. He barely knew what a car was, but he knew this was special. Glad to see you're keeping the flame going.
