Is it possible to install a gas heater from a 71 Standard Beetle into a
73 Super Beetle?Are the brackets/mounts, controls, ducting, etc. that are used the same between the two models, or would I be getting myself into a boat load of fabrication?

I think you would have to be "creative" due to the differences.
There were a number of different heater models; find out which. They also require a very specific fuel pump. Find out if it has the correct original one.
