Hi,
My sliding door is getting hard to start open, I guess maybe a rod or cable needs tightening inside the door. My question is how do the trim panel pop loose without tearing it up?
TIA,

That sounds more like the bottom track rollers. There is an article on:

Thanks, Speedy -- I'll grab my milk carton and have a peek!

Bob what you want to do is look at the slider on the back side of the door, you have to take off the slider cover. I find spraying everything including the latches (look for small hole on handle latch) makes things smooth again.
OK,KT, what I'm having to do is shower down real hard on the handle when it is hot but not so hard when cold, I thot maybe something inside the door was expanding in the hot and needed some permanent tight applied.
I have WD40'd eveything in sight (altho this kerosene? just attracts dirt so I've heard) and wiped the tracks clean. This puppy has zero rust so I'm sure that's not the thing.
Bentley and the rest of my books are no help on door innards, I hated to get in there the hard way and find nothing going on.
Thanks,
Bob
