VW Manual & Stuff

Nov 19, 2003 4 Replies

Help! I'm running out of space in my shop. I have 5 extra engine cooling shrouds. Stock shrouds, not dual port with the offset oil cooler. What are they worth? should I try ebay for these? etc. etc..

Also have a manual (see ebay) and some other extras; generators, pop out windows, other stuff. Would it be worth listing this stuff on the bay or posting a listing. I hate to send this stuff to the scrap yard.

I just ran into the same dilemma. I had lots of used parts that went to the dump. I even offered to give most of it away. Most people I knew that had bugs wanted to buy new stuff. I gave a few things away and sold a few but in the end a lot of old stuff just had to go to the dump. I traded a few at a local bug place but he didn't really want to trade too much or buy anything if he couldn't use it in the next 6 months or so. I kept a lot of the small stuff that was easily storable but man I feel bad about some of the stuff I let go.

I need a manual... I have a 61, but the 66/69 is better that nothing...

You don't say what model, but if your popouts are for a Bug I'm interested.

To All:

Tell what I gonna do. I'll make a list and post it here. Then if anyone want or needs something I have, i'll send then some pics and a more detailed description. If they want the part and are willing to pay the costs of shipping etc., I'll send it to them. Some stuff I can't or won't just give away, but a lot of it must go.

I have a '67 bug which I desparately want to get on the road. I'll trade parts for other parts in certain situations. The car I have will never be anything but a daily driver, but hey I've had 10 to 12 bugs in my life and I miss them all.

Some of the stuff I'll post to ebay if I intend to sell it. I'll give the links to that also.

Thanks for the input.
