1990 240 Volvo Radio help!!!

I just got a 1990 240 Volvo from my stepsister who took her aftermarket radio with her when she sold me the car. I bought a new radio and installed it into the car. However, there is now a drain on the battery when the car is off. I checked all the connections and everything is hooked up right. When I first installed the radio the memory wire crossed with another and blew a fuse on the wire coming out of the radio, and also one of the holes in the connector was bad so I had to cut behind the volvo connector so I could hard wire in the power.

I am not sure if that us causing some kind of drain, but with my multimeter I traced an amp draw on fuse number 8 (radio, power antenna, locks..etc.) It pegged the meter so I assumed it was the problem, cause when fuse 8 was taken out the drain went away. Thinking I had found my problem I unhooked the radio completely from the car as well as unhooked the power antenna, and still the meter jumped up and pegged quickly. Hoping someone out there may know what I did, or how I did it...Please help
