2001 V70XC: Can you remove the head unit but keep the integrated phone?

Hi,



I own a 2001 V70XC with the HU-803 head unit and I also have the integrated phone..



I read the article found here

and I wantedto do something similar.

`05). My main concern is whether the integrated phone is still usabe if the head unit is replaced.
