940 turbo antisway bars & flame guard

Instead of buying larger anti-sway bars, can one just use two stock bars on the front and back? Also does the 940 turbo engine have a flame guard? thx.

Here is a link to Turbobricks.com forum, John (The Aspirator) is in the process in writing up an article that describes the whole process. Although he is doing it on a 240, it applies directally to a 940/740 you just need to change the brackets accordingly.

What do you mean by flam guard?

not an expert, OK,

but believe turbos don't require flame gaurd/trap

purpose as I undedrstand is to prevent engine back fires circulating from crankcase into fuel supply, or the other way around. I think the turbo mechanism prevents flames from traveling so no need for trap.

but do your own due dilegence, please

Yes that's correct, turbo engines lack a flame trap, they have the housing but it's empty. If you put one in there it tends to clog quickly from oil blowby from the turbo.
