It's been about 12 years since I did a strut cartridge replacement (on my beloved and lost 744T). Now my '95 940 (nonturbo) is making some clunking noises from the struts when I turn. So, I'm going to change out the cartridges and replace any other worn parts. I plan on replacing the strut mounting (Bilstien kit), the cartridges and the "boot & bump stop".
Question, are there any other parts in there I can't remember? Once I get the struts apart I don't want any surprises or delays for the want of some inexpensive part. I have the Haynes manual on order but estimated delivery is two weeks. I wanted to get the parts ordered and on their way.
Also, any opinions on brand, quality, ride of struts would be great too. Last ones I got were KYBs. I liked them but I'm open to other suggestions.
If anyone knows of an exploded view on the web it would be great.
