GLT???

Isn't there a badge on the back? Or some form of documentation? It's a puzzle that the manuals don't give you a clue.

If its a 1982 it must be a 240 series. The 760 was introduced in 1982 but only as a saloon, the 765 and 745 ( wagons ) was as far as I know introduced in 1986.

An '82 GLT is a 240, since this was during a time when the 240 was the only model Volvo was producing, they dropped the "240" from the badge and simply labeled them "DL", "GL", "GLT", and "Turbo". The GLT was essentially everything the Turbo was, except it had the standard naturaly aspirated engine. To make matters more confusing, the more common fully (GL trim) equipped Turbo models are often referred to as "GLT"s but they all say "Turbo" on the badge on the back.
