Acquiring a 93 850GLT with 201000 on it. Shopping list looks like this:
fix intermittent wiper - doesnt stop after switching off. code for stereo - shows OFF in window. CD changer in trunk doesnt open. awful squeal from fan belt - water pump or belt? fog lights lenses are broken - upgrade or replace? dome light doesnt go on when door is open, otherwise works fine. is there a switch for the headlight wipers? where is the hood release?

I presume the switch is in the correct position! Does it work with any of the doors open?
No. The headlight wash/wipe comes on when the windscreen is washed (and possibly only if the headlights are on)
Red lever by the driver's leg. The bonnet should lift a little and a black toggle handle should protrude from the grille at the front. Lift the bonnet a little with one hand whilst pulling (gently) on the toggle catch and the bonnet should lift up normally.
