Overheat, and doesn't restart again

Sep 23, 2003 1 Replies

I've got a 1980 diesel 260 volvo and my girlfriend went to a trip yesterday. A coolant hose at the back of the engine got off and the coolant spilled. She had the car jacked to a garage and the guy fixed the things and try to start-it off again but nothing worked. It's like the car doesn't have any compression. Yesterday she immediatly stoped when she saw the meter going high and shut off the engine.

I hope it's only the fuel pump... What do you think ?

Overheat + no compression = bad news. Sorry, I think the head is warped.
