Those generally can leak if the seals go bad behind them. I think because of it's location that it may cost a bit more than usual - but I can't say how much work is involved if seals have to be replaced.
Also, I am not sure if the engine has to be pulled. Perhaps someone can chime in?

Our 1985 765T needed a damper (harmonic damper, looks like the crankshaft pulley) at about 200K km. The outer part has a rubber layer to fasten it to the inner part and the inner part, and the rubber broke - a common happening. The price is not surprising.
