Q: Radiator temp switch.

Hi.



Anybody knows the operating temp of the switch in the water-radiator? I meen the temp the switch is making contact and the temp the switch breaks contact. The car is a -88 780 V6.

For a USA spec car, 212 degree F, the switch will close. The switch turns on the small front electric fan in front of the condensor. On 4 cyl B230FT is will also bump up the timing to increase idle speed only while the switch is closed. Not sure if the timing changes on the B280F or not. BD.
