Questions about 1983 240dl

I have a couple of problems.


1-The antenna is missing...it looks like one went up the driver side pillar, I have wiring however for an auto antenna in the truck along with cable. Which is correct? How do I replace the one in the pillar? Where should it go in the back/ There is no hole


2-My windshield wipers will swipe 1 time if I hit the turn signal or horn. Short in the steering column?

Bad grounding? Remove the plastic around the steering and check it out.

The standard 240 antennas were mounted in a big hole in the left front fender, followed the left side of the windshield, attached with a little clamp. It was adjustable length and could be pulled out. Minimum length was about flush with roof. At least that was what they looked like on thw Swedish market.
