remote control starters

Hi all..... I have a 1995 850 glt sedan w/ 154,000 kms. I am interested in installing a remote starter, but am concerned re: potential problems it my cause within the car. It's running great, and I don't want to "screw" that up!!!

any advice re models to get, or stay away from would be appreciated. Also, self installation or not?? I live in the Hamilton, Ont. area.

I had a Clifford Concept 300 alarm in my last Volvo... I never had the remote starter fitted, but it was an optional module I believe. These Clifford alarms are excellent - might be worth taking a look into them.
