I have 2003 S60 T2.4 which I recently changed oil. does anyone know how to reset "time for regular service" light.

I looked it up in this massages board and noticed something about OBD.

Thanks,

Yes, I asked a dealer service manager about this last week, it involves the trip odometer, multiple button presses, etc.. I didn't write down the procedure, but I'm sure it's out there somewhere.

Look at your odometer/trip meter display. You will note the text "T 1" or T 2" There are 2 trip meter modes, and to toggle between T 1 and T 2, you press the trip reset button briefly. That said, it must be in T 1 to reset the service reminder. Start with the key in the accessory position. Press and HOLD the trip reset button and wait for the mileage to reset to zero. While still holding the button, switch the ignition to the run position, and watch for the previously displayed mileage to return. When it returns, release the reset button, and switch off the ignition. Service reminder is now reset.

This is how it is done on my 2002 V70 Cross Country It MAY be the same for yours.

Note: this model has two trip odometers. I and II Place Key in position I, (accessory) press and hold trip I reset, wait for trip I mileage to set to zero, turn key to position II, (run) wait for trip I mileage to reappear, (about 8-10 sec) release trip I reset button, switch off ignition. Start and check, message should be gone.
