93 jetta cold starting

Jul 18, 2004 1 Replies

When I havent driven my car for a few hours, and I try to start it up, it stalls 2 or even 4 times until it finally stays running. It seems like ther isnt enough gas getting to the engine because if i give it a little bit of gas it continues running. But once it has been started, it starts fine after. There is also squeaking when its first started until the engine warms up and then it stops.

Possibly two problems you describe here. The first could be the Coolant Temperature Sensor for the fuel injection.

The second sounds like a belt.
