A3 Jetta with 01m Trans - What TCM?

I've heard that there are multiple TCMs available for this transmission. How do I determine what TCM the car should have?

either look on the TCM and record ALL number/letters or you might be able to scan it with a vag-com tool. I think that can pull up the part number too.
