Air Fuel gauge for A2

Anyone buy one of those Air Fuel mixture gauges for a A2?

Installed one recently and now the car is running horrible. Wondering if anyone added a diode to avoid electrical feedback from the gauge?

John John John, Why couldn't you leave well enough alone?

Did you just add/hook that gauge to your existing 02 sensor? Or did you install another 02 sensor?

It said to splice it into the existing one... that's why I'm starting to ponder teh value of a diode to keep it a one way connection....

Well let us know if the diode works for you! Did you contact the makers of the air fuel mixture gauge? Is this the one with those lights?

The same thing happened on a friends '83 gti. I cured the problem by welding another bung and using a dedicated O2 sensor for the gauge. Corey From VWsport.com NNTP Gateway
